The German authorities should have come to Moscow to celebrate the anniversary of the Victory. Alexander, the grandson of the famous "iron chancellor" Otto von Bismarck, told Izvestia about this on May 9.

"I think it's crazy when they say in Brussels that they can't do this. Everyone from Western Europe can come wherever they want. It doesn't matter. <...> I have invited many Germans to come here, as well as to the government. They were supposed to come here and talk to the Russians. This is more important for the Germans," he said.

According to him, because Germany committed so much during the Second World War. She had to lend a helping hand to the Russian people. He also added that constructive dialogue is much better than weapons.

The Victory Day Parade in WWII ended earlier on Red Square. More than 11 thousand military personnel took part in the parade, including 1.5 thousand special operation soldiers. The event was attended by more than 25 foreign leaders, as well as military personnel from countries friendly to Russia and foreign delegations.

On the eve of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 8 in the social network X (ex. Twitter) posted a post in Russian on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. The ministry added that Germany owes its freedom to the enormous sacrifices made by the allied countries.
