"This is a historic day. We must draw conclusions, because, unfortunately, fascism has not yet been defeated," Zhgenti said.
According to him, it is important to remember and take into account the experience of those generations who fought the "brown plague" during the Great Patriotic War.
"Now our struggle is the word, television, and mass media, through which we must convey to everyone, to our friends, that fascism will not pass. The world is changing for the better, and this is a great merit of Russia," Zhgenti added.
He stressed that the international community should listen to Putin, who calls for world order and stability.
On the same day, the US Embassy in Moscow announced that the United States honors the memory of the victims of the Russian people in World War II. According to them, the victory over Nazi Germany is common.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Victory Day Parade in Moscow on Red Square that the defeat of Nazism had been achieved through joint efforts, including the opening of a second front. The Russian leader noted that almost 80% of the population of many countries was involved in the Second World War. The complete defeat of Nazism was achieved by joint efforts.
