Putin raised a toast to the generation of winners at the reception in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory

On May 9, Russian President Vladimir Putin raised a toast to the illustrious generation of victors, the triumph of truth and justice, at a reception dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in the Kremlin.

"I propose a toast to the illustrious generation of winners, to the triumph of truth and justice, and to the prosperity of our countries and peoples," he said.

The official reception of the heads of state and distinguished guests was held in the Faceted Chamber of the Kremlin.

The Victory Day Parade in WWII ended earlier on Red Square. More than 11 thousand military personnel took part in it, including 1.5 thousand special operation soldiers. The event was attended by more than 25 foreign leaders, as well as military personnel from countries friendly to Russia and foreign delegations.
