Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on May 9 that Russian President Vladimir Putin's communication with the North Korean military after the Victory Day Parade was evidence of recognition of the heroic merits of the Korean fighters.
He noted that the Red Square was attended by senior officers, unit commanders who took part in the liberation of the Kursk region.
"It was such a fact of politeness and recognition of the heroic merits of the Korean servicemen in this operation," Peskov said.
