The Victory Day parade that took place in Moscow demonstrated that Russian President Vladimir Putin has many allies. This was announced on May 9 by the Spanish newspaper El País.

Almost three dozen leaders joined the Russian president to celebrate the Victory, including Brazil's Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro, Egypt's Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and many others. According to the publication, Serbian President Alexander Vuvic and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico also attended the event, despite the dissatisfaction of Brussels and Kiev.

As noted by "Gazeta.Ru", the Victory Day parade became a demonstration of strength. Indeed, troops from a number of states friendly to the Russian Federation also participated in it.

The Victory Day Parade in WWII ended earlier on Red Square. More than 11 thousand military personnel took part in it, including 1.5 thousand special operation soldiers. The event was attended by more than 25 foreign leaders, as well as military personnel from countries friendly to Russia and foreign delegations.
