In Ukraine, a pensioner who came to lay flowers in a Soviet cap was detained near the Eternal Flame in Kiev. This was reported on May 9 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".
"She was told that the red star should be removed from her cap, as this is a prohibited symbolism. The woman refused," the publication said in a Telegram channel message.
As noted in the article, the policeman stated that the woman would have to give explanations at the department. In response, she said that she had already been to the police six times.
A correspondent for Izvestia reported on May 8 that police at the memorial in Berlin did not let people in red T-shirts with the words "People's Front" through. A checkpoint with dozens of police officers was set up next to the entrance, with prohibited symbols visible on both sides.
