At least seven people were injured in Mexico City as a result of the collapse of the stage structure. This was reported on May 8 by the Mexican TV channel Azteca, citing local authorities.

The stage was being built for a concert by Mexican singer Alicia Villarreal. An event with her participation, timed to coincide with Mother's Day, was scheduled for May 10.

"A metal structure designed for a Mother's Day event on the esplanade of Gustavo A. Madero City Hall collapsed due to strong winds. According to preliminary data, seven people were injured at the scene," the report says.

The publication clarified that two victims needed hospitalization. As the TV channel added, local authorities were warned in advance about the possible deterioration of weather conditions. The Mexico City administration expressed its willingness to participate in providing all necessary assistance to the victims.

During a performance by singer Rubby Perez at a nightclub in the Dominican city of Santo Domingo on April 8, the roof of the building collapsed. As a result of the tragedy, 231 people died. 189 injured people who needed medical attention were taken to hospitals.
