Victory Day parade held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky


A parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII) was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It started at 10:00 a.m. local time (01:00 a.m. Moscow time). The columns of the parade crews marched through the main square of the city.
The solemn procession was attended by Russian servicemen from various units, including cadets. Vice Admiral Alexander Yuldashev, Commander of troops and forces in the Northeast of the Russian Federation, addressed the participants of the parade.
The head of the region, Vladimir Solodov, also congratulated the residents of Kamchatka on the Great Victory Day.
On May 8, Captain Daniyar Dzhartanov, Commander of the 24th Separate Guards Special Forces Brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Hero of Russia, Knight of the Order of Courage of the Guards, spoke about the preparations for the Victory Day Parade in Moscow. The captain explained that the command group would march first, then the "box" of fighters participating in a special military operation (SVO). According to Dzhartanov, the commander and deputy will be in front of him.
