Actions "Immortal Regiment" and "Garden of Memory" were held at the Russian Embassy in the USA

The Immortal Regiment march and the Garden of Memory action took place on May 8 at the Russian Embassy in Washington on the eve of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. They were attended by Russian diplomats and their family members, Russian compatriots, as well as representatives of the embassies of the CIS countries and students of the school attached to the diplomatic mission. "Our family is very proud of the great—grandfathers and all those who participated in our family in the war," said Diana, a member of the Immortal Regiment.

Another participant of the march shared that she and her family take out awards and portraits of their relatives who took part in battles and battles against the Nazis, and also take part in marches, thereby paying tribute to the memory of the soldiers of the Second World War.

"It's a celebration with tears in your eyes. Our family always remembers my grandfather on this day, who traveled across Europe, liberated Warsaw, Konigsberg, and reached Berlin. My grandparents on my mother's side, they are labor veterans, they were just children during the war. Everyone's feat was important, and we must remember and honor the memory of our ancestors," said Irina, a participant in the Immortal Regiment.

The annual traditional march of the Immortal Regiment was also held in New Delhi, India. On May 7, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov, several hundred compatriots, Indian citizens, employees of Russian foreign missions in India and their family members joined the action. During the march, the participants also unfurled the St. George ribbon, 80 m long.
