Cosmonauts on the ISS congratulated Russians on Victory Day

Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov, Alexey Zubritsky and Kirill Peskov, while on board the International Space Station (ISS), congratulated the Russians on Victory Day.
"Dear friends! We, Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergey Ryzhikov, Alexey Zubritsky and Kirill Peskov, welcome you aboard the ISS! The victory in the Great Patriotic War is 80 years old, a landmark date not only for everyone personally, but also for our entire space program," said Hero of Russia, Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Ryzhikov.
They told the biographies of four Soviet cosmonauts who were associated with the Great Patriotic War. These are Konstantin Feoktistov, who was a young scout for the Voronezh garrison, Grigory Dobrovolsky, who at the age of 13 decided to join the partisans and defend his native Odessa, Vladimir Shatalov, who built defensive fortifications near Leningrad, and Georgy Beregovoy, a legendary ground attack aircraft pilot who flew almost 200 combat missions on an IL—2 aircraft and He was shot down three times.
Beregovoy was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union in October 1944, and after the war he became a test pilot of supersonic fighters. It was he who taught pilots how to get fighters out of a fatal situation when they get into a tailspin and fall uncontrollably. At the age of 47, he conducted tests of the Soyuz-3 spacecraft in Earth orbit, for which he received the second star of the Hero of the Soviet Union.
"In honor of all the front-line soldiers and our cosmonaut heroes, participants in the war, we have unfurled a copy of the victory banner. And next to the photos of Yuri Gagarin and Sergei Korolev, they posted a photo of the cosmonaut pilot, front-line soldier Georgy Beregovoy. This photo on the ISS will become a symbol of the heroic deed of our people, part of the all—Russian patriotic movement Immortal Regiment," said Kirill Peskov, cosmonaut of Roscosmos.
He clarified that after their crew returns to earth, they will transfer it to the main space museum of Donbass named after Beregovoy in the city of Yenakiyevo.
On May 1, the Central Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering (TsNIIMash) announced that the ISS orbit had been increased with the help of the Progress MS-30 spacecraft due to the threat of a collision with space debris. It was specified that after the orbit change, the station's rotation period is 92.89 minutes.
