A piece of the "Fire of Memory" was brought to Berlin

The "Fire of Memory" in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory was brought to Berlin by the efforts of activists from Germany. One of the participants of the Fire of Memory campaign, volunteer Alexander Gertner, shared this event with Izvestia.
The participants conducted the first torch relay from Belarus, the volunteer said, then the route passed through Moscow. Every year more and more people join the project. This year, the activists teamed up again to bring fire from Moscow through Brest to Berlin.
Gertner stressed that they feel the importance of preserving memory and the inadmissibility of rewriting history. Russian Russians are called "Russian Germans," but they remain Russian at heart and will fight for the truth, he said.
A piece of Eternal Flame from the Grave of the Unknown Soldier in the Alexander Garden in Moscow was handed over to representatives of Moldova on May 7. The particle was delivered to Chisinau, where the ceremony of lighting the lamps at the Eternity memorial complex will take place. The youth wing of the Pobeda bloc will take part in the event. The lamps will be handed over to veterans of the Great Patriotic War.
