An important result of the Russian-Chinese talks in the Kremlin will bring cooperation between the two countries to a new level in the field of art, namely in joint film production. The success of the first such project, the film "Red Silk", has already been noted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In the presence of the leaders of Russia and China in a solemn atmosphere in the Kremlin, and the circumstances correspond to the scale: now the National Media Group (NMG) and the Media Corporation of China (China Media Group) are linked by a cooperation agreement.

The essence of the document is the exchange of experience and ready—made content, as well as its joint production.

"China is a very important strategic partner for us. Over the past few years, our content sales in China have increased fivefold. It is very important that this information cooperation, among other things, will allow us to convey a more objective picture of the world to a large, global audience," said Svetlana Balanova, CEO of NMG.

As Shen Haixiong, CEO of the Media Corporation of China, noted, Beijing and Moscow will definitely bring cooperation in the cultural sphere to a high level.

This is an important step towards the rapprochement of the two countries. NMG and CMG are strengthening the partnership between Russian and Chinese media and expanding the audience. In China, for example, they love our cartoons. "Three Cats" is really popular in China — more than 2.5 billion views.

"Red Silk" has already been released in Russia and has shown record-breaking film collections in its genre. The most important thing is that the idea of creating such a movie was initially supported by the leaders of the two countries. Vladimir Putin recalled this in the Kremlin today.

"Mr. Chairman and I discussed this in Kazan, and work is underway. I would like to note with pleasure that in February of this year, the Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk" was released in Russia, the premiere of which was very successful. I am convinced that many joint films are waiting for us, which will be received with great interest in both Russia and China," the head of state noted.

The National Media Group is Russia's largest private media holding company: film production, distribution, and information broadcasting. The Media Corporation of China is a huge conglomerate of the state press: 47 television channels, radio in 44 languages, news portals, applications.

On this day, the National Media Group and the Media Corporation of China (CMG) signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed during the visit of the Chinese delegation to the Russian Federation for the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. It is specified that through the joint efforts of the two sides, Russian-Chinese relations continue to develop.
