Ambassador Nechaev pointed to Russia's struggle against neo-Nazism

Russia is fighting against neo-Nazism wherever it manifests itself. This was announced on May 8 by Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechaev.

Nechaev, together with representatives of the Russian diplomatic mission, visited the Soviet memorial complex and laid flowers.

"We are fighting against neo-Nazism, against the neo-Nazi regime, wherever and in whatever form it manifests itself. Everyone knows this," the ambassador said.

Nechaev added that many German citizens had come to honor the memory of the fallen. According to him, Russia has many friends in Germany who preserve historical memory and also take care of military graves.

The memory of the soldiers of the Soviet Army was honored on the streets of Cologne, Germany, where the Immortal Regiment action took place on May 4. Wartime songs were performed at the event and a car rally was held in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Victory.
