Balanova called "Red Silk" a national film in Russia and China

The film "Red Silk" became the first joint project between Russia and China in modern history to receive national status in both countries. Svetlana Balanova, General Director of the National Media Group (NMG), told Izvestia on May 8.
"This is the first joint Russian-Chinese film in modern history to receive the Dragon Seal, that is, permission to be distributed in China as a national film. In other words, this film is a national film in both Russia and China," Balanova said.
She noted that the film actually opened the way for similar projects in the future, contributing to the development of joint filmmaking.
On this day, it became known that the National Media Group and the Media Corporation of China (CMG) have signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed during the visit of the Chinese delegation to the Russian Federation for the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. It is specified that through the joint efforts of the two sides, Russian-Chinese relations continue to develop.
