- Putin signed a decree on the free rehabilitation of family members of soldiers wounded in the course of their military operations

Family members of military personnel who were injured during a special military operation will be able to receive free vouchers to subordinate sanatorium resorts for rehabilitation. The decree on this was signed on May 8 by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the document appeared on the portal of the official publication of legal acts.
The relevant decision was made to provide "additional social support to family members of military personnel, employees of some federal government agencies and citizens staying in volunteer formations."
The decree concerns the relatives of employees of the internal affairs bodies (MIA) of Russia, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Guard, the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation, the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN), the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP), and prosecutors working in the SVO zone.
Only one of the family members can use it — parents, spouses, brothers and sister, grandparents, adult children — and only once for each case of injury. The guarantees remain valid for the entire duration of its operation and for another six months after its completion.
On April 9, Putin, at a meeting with Svetlana Chupsheva, Director General of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), noted the importance of providing high-quality medical care to ITS fighters near their homes. She said that the agency plans to open special centers in each federal district.
