- Hero of the Russian Federation Dzhartanov will carry the banner of the ground forces at the Victory Day Parade.

Commander of the 24th Separate Guards Special Forces Brigade of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Hero of Russia, Knight of the Order of Courage of the Guard Captain Daniyar Dzhartanov will carry the banner of the Ground Forces at the head of the column of special operations guards at the Victory Day Parade in Moscow.
He was born on May 9th and called his election as a banner bearer the best gift. The soldier noted that as a child he celebrated Victory Day in the village with the front-line soldiers and did not realize that after a while he would take part in the Victory Day Parade on Red Square. The next day, May 10, he will go to the front line.
Dzhartanov shared that he had repeatedly gone to the enemy's rear without identification marks, in NATO camouflage and with a beard in order to impersonate foreign mercenaries. He stressed that he remembered one of these exits for the rest of his life. After bypassing the sentry, Dzhartanov's troika went deeper into the enemy's rear and ran into a large detachment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
"We tried to enter into a dialogue with them, to tell them that they were our own, let them pass. They say we'll finish it now, then we'll skip it. I had to dive to the left side because there was a tree there. The second man left to the right, and the third was a machine gunner, he stayed in the center. And it turned out beautifully — they left and right and immediately started working. We put about ten people there then," he said.
Dzhartanov's group fought in the Kremenny forestry, participated in the storming of Avdiivka through a pipe near the Tsarskaya Okhota restaurant, crossed the Seversky Donets River, which became one of the most dangerous operations. He shared that one day he was ambushed by a group and decided to pretend to be dead. According to him, it worked, and subsequently they were able to eliminate the Ukrainian militants.
During the special military operation (SVO), Dzhartanov received an officer's rank and was one of the quiet commanders.
"A lot depends on the commander. We need to show the personnel. If you give up somewhere, then the work won't go any further," he added.
On May 5, the participants of the SVO talked about the preparations for the Victory Day Parade in Moscow. Hero of Russia Vyacheslav Potyshev stressed that participation in the parade was a real shock for him — he could not believe that he would be able to walk through Red Square.
