- In the capital of Canada, volunteers laid out the number "80" from candles in honor of the Victory anniversary.
On May 7, volunteers of the Russian-speaking community "Russian Ottawa" in the capital of Canada held a Memorial Candle action, and also organized a Blue Handkerchief flash mob to mark the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII).
On a huge square, they, with their own efforts, laid out the number "80" from candles in honor of the Victory anniversary. The girls danced to the accompaniment of the song "Blue Handkerchief".
In the hands of other participants of the flash mob were posters depicting cities that were awarded the title of "Hero Cities" after the end of the Second World War.
On May 8, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the artists of the front-line brigade of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Central Military District (CVO) performed a concert program and congratulated the residents of the Lugansk People's Republic (LNR) on the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War as part of the Victory March campaign. The band visited several settlements, including the villages of Blagoe and Zimogorye, where performances took place on an improvised stage from the back of a military truck.
