A key point in the formation of a new world order and the end of the conflict in Ukraine is the recognition of Crimea as part of Russia, which will mean acceptance of the new reality and fundamental recognition of the current situation. This was stated on May 8 by the head of the Crimean Parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov.

"The recognition of Crimea, even if the issue of recognizing new territories is postponed, can be perceived as the beginning of the process of recognizing all the changes that have taken place, the actual acceptance of the new reality. This is not just a territorial issue, but a political one...> a key point in the formation of a new world order," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Konstantinov is confident that peace will be difficult to achieve if Crimea is not recognized as Russian. Otherwise, it will only be possible to temporarily postpone the conflict.

"Numerous attempts to resolve the conflict without taking into account the initial causes have proved fruitless," he said.

On May 1, the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Simferopol, Artyom Berezovsky, said that the West and Ukraine were aware of who owned Crimea — it was the sovereign territory of the Russian Federation. Berezovsky noted that this region cannot be considered as a simple thing that can be transferred. In particular, 2.5 million people expressed their desire about who they want to connect their future and the future of their children with.

The Axios portal noted on April 30 that US President Donald Trump is ready to recognize Crimea as part of Russia, but he does not require Ukraine to do so.
