Immortal Regiment march held in New Delhi
On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), the annual traditional march of the Immortal Regiment took place in New Delhi, India. The footage is shown by Izvestia.
On May 7, Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov joined the action, as well as several hundred compatriots, Indian citizens, employees of Russian foreign missions in India and their family members, who marched through the center of the Indian capital with portraits of their relatives who fought on the fronts of World War II.
During the march, the participants also unfurled the St. George Ribbon, 80 m long.
On the same day, the patriotic action "Immortal Regiment" was held in Ethiopia. The footage was provided to Izvestia by Rossotrudnichestvo on May 7. More than 100 people took part in the action. As part of the event, the school at the Russian Embassy also organized a literary and musical concert "Songs of the Great Victory".
