Yonhap reported North Korea's launch of a ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan


North Korea has launched an unidentified ballistic missile into the Sea of Japan. This was reported on May 8 by the Yonhap news agency with reference to the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) of the Republic of Korea.
"North Korea launches unidentified ballistic missile into the East Sea (Sea of Japan. — Ed.)," the publication cites the statement of the OKNSH.
According to the ministry, presumably, the ballistic missile of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, launched from the city of Wonsan, is classified as a short-range missile.
Yonhap news agency reported on April 18 that South Korea conducted large-scale night exercises near the borders of the DPRK, which involved about 40 pieces of equipment, including the Chunmoo multiple launch rocket system. The exercises took place in an area 160 km northeast of Seoul, with a total of 300 soldiers participating.
