- Pravda announced the ban of three countries on the flight of Fico special aircraft to Russia

A special aircraft of the Slovak government with Prime Minister Robert Fico on board was banned from flying over the territories of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia for the participation of the Slovak delegation in the celebration of Victory Day in Moscow. This was reported on May 7 by the Slovak edition Pravda.
"The Republic of Latvia has rejected the flight of a special aircraft of the Slovak government with Prime Minister Robert Fico on board to celebrate the end of World War II in Moscow at the invitation of [Russian President] Vladimir Putin. This was confirmed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia. According to our information, Lithuania and Estonia have taken a similar step," the publication says.
The Latvian Foreign Ministry explained that participation in the Kremlin's May 9 event is incompatible with the fundamental values of the European Union, therefore Latvia will not provide diplomatic passes for flights.
On May 7, the Estonian authorities banned the use of the country's airspace for flights to Moscow for the 80th anniversary of Victory on May 9. In a statement, they clarified that Estonia is not going to support the holding of this event in any way.
