Venezuela is ready to launch production of Russian cars


Caracas calls on Russian companies to localize their production in Venezuela, in the future the Latin American republic may start producing Russian cars. This was reported to Izvestia by the head of the Foreign Ministry of the Bolivarian Republic Ivan Gil Pinto.
"Of course, it will be possible," - said the head of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, answering the question of "Izvestia" about whether it will be possible to produce Russian cars in the Latin American state.
The topic of localization of production in different spheres is on the agenda of negotiations between the two countries. The most pressing area is pharmaceuticals.
"We also talked about this. About cooperation in matters of industry, auto industry, production of medicines. Venezuela is fully supplied with the products of large Russian pharmaceutical companies, and now they are beginning to look for opportunities to settle in Venezuela," the diplomat said.
According to him, Venezuela has technical capabilities for the pharmaceutical industry, and they are constantly growing.
"We have invited Russian companies to localize production in our country not only to work on the Venezuelan market, but also to cover the needs of markets in other Latin American and Caribbean countries," he added.
The Venezuelan delegation headed by President Nicolas Maduro arrived in Moscow on May 7. On the same day, the Venezuelan leader met with Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin.
