On May 8, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the area of a special military operation.
The ministry drew attention to the actions of Private Vladislav Mukhin, who, acting as part of an evacuation group, performed the tasks of providing first aid to wounded Russian servicemen and transporting them to medical facilities during defensive operations in the area of one of the settlements.
The enemy launched an artillery attack on Russian positions, as a result of which several servicemen were injured. Mukhin, being under fire from the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), evacuated two soldiers to a shelter and provided them with the necessary medical care. Thanks to his brave and prompt actions, the lives of the servicemen were saved.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation noted the merits of Junior Sergeant Vasily Melkozerov, who performed the task of protecting and defending airspace near the line of combat contact.
During the mission, Melkozerov discovered an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the enemy moving in the direction of one of the Russian strongholds. He quickly assessed the situation, reported to the command about the situation and hit the UAV with a well-aimed blow from a standard weapon. Thanks to his precise actions, the Russian military personnel were not affected by the attack of the drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
On May 7, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that the Russian Armed Forces (AF) had hit the ammunition depots of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the zone of the special military operation (SVO) with the Geran-2 drones. The premises were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Andreevka and Dobropole.
