A man armed with an axe attacked students of the University of Warsaw


A man armed with an axe attacked students on the territory of the University of Warsaw, as a result of the incident, one person was killed and another was seriously injured. This was reported on May 7 by the Warsaw police.
"A man with an axe broke into the campus of the University of Warsaw and attacked the people who were there. It was a 22-year—old Polish citizen," the agency said in a statement on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
It is specified that one person was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The incident occurred, according to preliminary data, at about 18:40 local time (19:40 Moscow time). The attacker has been detained. Law enforcement agencies are working at the scene.
CNN reported on April 17 that two people were killed and five others injured in a shooting at the University of Florida in the United States. The attacker was also hospitalized. The suspect was identified as 20-year-old Phoenix Eakner. He was the son of a Leon County deputy sheriff.
