Nebenzia pointed to the revival of Nazism in Europe

Nazism is being revived in Europe, and the number of its supporters is also increasing there. This was stated on May 7 by Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Vasily Nebenzia during a plenary session of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II.
"We will not let the international community forget that Hitler's followers did not remain in 1945. Nazism is being revived and is rapidly gaining supporters," he is quoted as saying on the permanent mission's website.
According to him, there is also a growing trend in the number of right-wing radical movements and their participants in Europe. To attract more people, they resort to modern methods when using social networks and instant messengers. Representatives of right-wing radical movements also manage to organize rock concerts, hold sports events, and give lectures.
"Contrary to what our enemies are trying to claim, we are not monopolizing Victory. We consider it common and pay tribute to the memory of all the peoples of the former USSR who made a significant contribution to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. All the peoples of the Soviet Union contributed to the Victory," he said.
Earlier, on May 6, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during a flower-laying ceremony at memorial plaques in memory of employees of the People's Commissariat for Foreign Affairs (NKID) and the USSR Ministry of Foreign Trade who died in World War II, said that almost all of Europe had rallied and was waging war against Russia under the banner of Nazism.
