Cuba made a great contribution to the fight against Nazism. This was announced on Wednesday, May 7, by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with his Cuban counterpart Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez.

The Russian leader also thanked the guest for coming to Moscow.

"In our country, this war is called the Great Patriotic War, because the entire nation, without any exaggeration, took part in repelling Nazi aggression," Putin said.
