Russians named the least recognizable Chinese car brands

The least recognizable car brand from China among those officially represented in the Russian market is SWM. This was announced on May 7 by the analytical agency Autostat following a survey of more than 3,000 car owners.
Russians were asked to look at the logos of 30 Chinese brands and choose their familiar ones. The SWM brand received the smallest share of votes — 1.8%. The second place in "unrecognizability" was taken by Aito Seres with a score of 2.2%.
The top five anti-rating brands also included Knewstar (2.9%), Hongqi (8.2%) and Kaiyi (9.6%).
In total, as analysts noted, in 2025, about 60 Chinese brands are represented on the Russian car market, of which more than 30 brands are officially operating.
Earlier in the day, analysts listed the best-selling new crossovers and SUVs in Russia. Haval Jolion became the leader in April, with 5.5 thousand such vehicles sold in just one month. By the end of April, 102.1 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 25.5% less than in the same month last year.
