Grave of the Unknown Soldier Rostam Nikolaev, a wounded soldier of the special military operation (SVO), who became known online after laying flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Moscow, will take part in the Immortal Regiment action in Rostov-on-Don. He told Izvestia about this on May 7.

The Immortal Regiment, you know, will never be forgotten, and it is very important for me to take part in the Immortal Regiment, to honor and remember our grandfathers," he shared.

According to him, Russians are now fighting and defeating fascism in their own zone, as in 1941-1945.

"[The country] was engulfed by the fascist invaders, and the entire Soviet people joined the fight against fascism. The same thing is happening now. We will eradicate this fascism," said Nikolaev.

The video of the SVO fighter spread online in January 2025. He laid flowers at the Grave of the Unknown Soldier. Due to injuries, the veteran of the special operation could not stand on his feet - he was picked up by the guards.
