Estonia has closed its airspace for flights to Moscow for the Victory Day Parade

The Estonian authorities have banned the use of the country's airspace for flights to Moscow on the 80th anniversary of Victory on May 9. This was reported on May 7 by the ERR portal with reference to a statement by Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna.

"The use of Estonian airspace to fly to Moscow for the May 9 parade is excluded, and Estonia is not going to support the holding of this event in any way," Tsakhkna said.

Yesterday, Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that 29 leaders from invited countries would attend the parade in the capital. The heads of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Venezuela, Vietnam, Guinea-Bissau, Egypt, Zimbabwe, China, Congo, Cuba, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Palestine, Serbia, Slovakia, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, as well as South Ossetia.

In addition, it was reported that teams from Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Belarus, Egypt, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan will take part in the event.
