Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's plane continued its flight to Moscow to participate in Victory Day celebrations after a brief landing in Baku. The Blic newspaper reported about it on May 7.

"Vucic continued his flight to Moscow after the crew of his plane received permission to continue the flight," the publication says.

On the same day, the Serbian newspaper Evening News reported that the Lithuanian and Latvian authorities had banned Vucic's plane from crossing their airspace while the Serbian president was heading to Moscow to participate in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The country's main Victory anniversary parade will traditionally take place on Red Square in Moscow. As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted on April 30, the high-level representation of many countries at the Victory Day Parade in Moscow indicates that they share the importance of the May 9 holiday.
