- The political scientist predicted the collapse of the collective West after the Victory Day Parade

The participation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico in the Victory Day parade will mean the collapse of the collective West. This was announced on May 7 by Alexey Mukhin, Director General of the Center for Political Information.
"The participation of Fico and Vucic in the Victory Day parade will record the collapse of the collective West. But the leadership of the EU (European Union. — Ed.) still lives in his illusions and does not want to say goodbye to them," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
He stressed that Brussels could deprive Serbia and Slovakia of financial support.
According to the expert, the confrontation in the West has reached the point where Fico and Vucic are ready to ignore this, because "it is more important for them to show themselves as leaders of sovereign states."
On May 6, it became known that the Lithuanian and Latvian authorities had banned Vucic's plane from crossing their airspace due to the Serbian president's intentions to visit Moscow to participate in events marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). According to the Serbian newspaper Vechernye Novosti, the actions were caused by "political sensitivity" to the purpose of the president's flight.
In turn, on May 6, Fico reported threats that began to come to his address after his decision to attend Victory Day celebrations in Moscow.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, at a briefing on May 7, announced the continuation of the policy of Russophobia in the Baltic states, which extends to their European partners. According to him, such bans indicate the growing contradictions within the EU.
