The MP named a way to increase the pension for working pensioners

State Duma deputy, member of the Committee on Labor and Social Policy Svetlana Bessarab told how working pensioners can increase their pension.
In conversation with aif.ru On Wednesday, May 7, the parliamentarian pointed out that in Russia, according to various estimates, there are now over 7.5 million working pensioners. They have the opportunity to receive a pension and continue to work, or they can continue to work and postpone receiving a pension, for example, for five years. In the second case, the pension will be increased to 40%.
"Upon reaching retirement age, if a citizen has not claimed a pension and continues to work, his pension coefficients and his fixed part of the payment to the insurance pension increase in accordance with the norms approved by law," explained Bessarab.
On the same day, Bessarab, in an interview with NSN, told what the salary in envelopes threatens Russians with. According to her, people who receive 50% of their salary in an envelope can, at best, count on a social pension, and at worst, they will be left with minimal financial support.
Also on May 7, MP Sergei Mironov announced the need for a "fundamental review" of the approach to calculating pensions. According to him, in Russia it is necessary to establish quarterly indexation of pensions, the website writes kp.ru . In his opinion, when assigning new pensions and recalculating old ones, salaries, seniority, and working conditions of a pensioner should be taken into account, IA Regnum notes.
On May 6, the Social Fund revealed the average pension in Russia — it is just over 23 thousand rubles. According to the latest data, 41,169,796 pensioners live in Russia. Of these, 33,379,424 Russians have been awarded old—age insurance pensions, 2,193,963 people receive disability benefits, and 1,456,262 people receive survivor benefits. 360.ru .
