Russia's position on the temporary truce with Ukraine is known, but there are no new elements of the agreement. This was announced on May 7 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"There is nothing to comment on in this case. Our position on the truce is well known. All instructions have been given, there are no new elements here," he said at a briefing.

On April 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared a truce in the days of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. It was specified that the Russian side, for its part, would ensure a cease-fire at 00:00 from 7 to 8 May to 00:00 from 10 to 11 May. Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that by declaring a truce during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, Russia is sending an important signal to other states.

Also on May 7, Peskov said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to demonstrate their propensity for terrorist actions by sending drones to Moscow during daylight hours. At the same time, the Russian military is taking all necessary measures to create a calm atmosphere at the Victory Day celebrations in the capital.
