- The Russian Interior Ministry has put Alexander Gabuev, a Chinese scholar, on the wanted list.

The Russian Interior Ministry has put on the wanted list Alexander Gabuev, director of the Carnegie Berlin Center for the Study of Russia and Eurasia (the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace is recognized in the Russian Federation as an undesirable organization), a sinologist (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent). This was confirmed on May 7 by data from the department's database.
"Alexander Gabuev. He is wanted under the Criminal Code article," his card says.
The department did not specify what specific article Gabuyev was wanted for. In turn, law enforcement sources told TASS that he could have been put on the wanted list because of a criminal case against him for evading duties stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation on foreign agents.
On April 30, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation put on the wanted list the editor-in-chief of the Dozhd TV channel (recognized as a foreign agent, his structures declared undesirable in Russia) Tikhon Dziadko (included in the list of foreign agents). The article on which he is wanted was not specified.
