Lipetsk authorities explained the felling of trees in the city

Lipetsk City Hall explained why trees are being removed from some streets of the city. They said it was being carried out as part of a beautification program.

According to GOROD48, residents of the house on Pobedy Avenue complained that workers were cleaning the green spaces in the courtyard and leaving the dry ones. To prove their words, they presented photographs.

At the same time, according to residents, the workers refuse to grant permission to cut down trees.

The office of the chief inspector of Lipetsk stated that no violations had been committed. They claim that a year ago the city appraisal commission examined the land plantations on Pobedy Avenue.

According to the results of the examination, an act was drawn up, according to which 16 trees were allowed to be demolished. These plantings interfere with landscaping under the My Yard program.

Earlier it was reported that Lipetsk City Hall saved millions of rubles on the maintenance of roads and streets this winter. The abnormally warm, snowless weather contributed to this. Before the start of the winter season, the mayor's office signed contracts for road cleaning in the amount of 103.5 million rubles. As of January 23, only 250 thousand rubles had been spent for these purposes.
