Fountains in Krasnoyarsk to launch on Victory Day

The fountain season traditionally starts in Krasnoyarsk on May 9th. They will delight residents and guests of the regional capital until the autumn cold weather, the press service of the mayor's office reports.

The water bodies will be turned on at 8 a.m., and after dark, the backlight will work on them, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency.

On Victory Day, military compositions will be performed at the fountain on Theater Square from 09:30 to 12:00. In the Maypark, music will be played from morning to evening.

As the mayor's office warned, it is forbidden to let children walk along the fountain and play on the sides. Serious fines, administrative and criminal liability are provided for damage to city property.

Earlier it was reported that landscaping works have begun in the center of Krasnoyarsk in preparation for the 400th anniversary of the city. There are plans to renovate 15 cross streets, four of them in the current season.
