The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the church of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica in the Kursk region

In the Kursk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attacked a temple with a drone, as a result, the roof was damaged. This was announced on May 7 by Acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein.

"Today, an FPV drone attacked the church of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica in the village of Salnoye, Khomutovsky district. As a result of the attack, the glazing and roof of the building were damaged," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to him, the building was also filled with smoke due to the enemy's attack, but without a fire. He also added that there were no deaths or injuries among the civilian population.

According to the Russian president, conditions have now appeared for further successful actions by our troops in other sectors of the front.

Earlier that day, Khinstein reported that Ukrainian militants had attacked the settlements of Goncharovka and Tetkino in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region, and two people were injured in the attacks. He added that the injured were taken to the Kursk Regional Hospital, where they are receiving medical care.
