KHL named the best players of the Gagarin Cup semi-final

The Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has published a list of the best players in the semifinal series of the Gagarin Cup. This was reported on May 7 in the Telegram channel.

Daniil Isaev, the goalkeeper of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, was chosen as the best goalkeeper for the second time in his career. His reliability coefficient in five matches was 1.41. The player reflected 94.07% of shots.

Grigory Dronov, a player of the Traktor hockey club, was recognized as the best defender.

Dronov's teammate Maxim Shabanov, who scored 6 (3+3) points in five matches, was named the best forward of the semi-finals. The best newcomer was 18-year-old Egor Surin from Lokomotiv, who scored 4 (3+1) points in four matches of the series.

On May 6, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl beat Ufa's Salavat Yulaev in the fifth match of the Fonbet — Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoff series and reached the Gagarin Cup final. The match took place on May 5 at the Yaroslavl club's home Arena 2000 and ended with a score of 4:2. Thus, Lokomotiv won the series and reached the finals, winning four out of five matches.
