In St. Petersburg, a one-year-old boy fell out of a fourth-floor window. The doctors couldn't save him.

The incident occurred in a house on the Voskresenskaya Embankment on May 6. The baby's mother went into another room, and he was left unattended. The boy climbed from the high chair onto the window sill, opened the latch on the window and fell out.

Paramedics who arrived at the scene found the child in a state of clinical death. He died in the hospital a few hours later.

A criminal case has been opened into the incident under the article "Causing death by negligence," the 78 TV channel reports.

Earlier it was reported that a St. Petersburg woman tried to kill her nine-year-old daughter by stabbing her in the neck. The application to the duty station was received from the girl's father. The girl was saved. The woman explained her act by saying that she had a nightmare in which someone tried to kill her children, so when she woke up, she took a knife and went to the children's bedroom. The suspect has been placed in a psychiatric institution.
