Specially protected areas in Crimea are being prepared for the tourist flow


In Crimea, specially protected natural areas have begun to be prepared for the holiday season. This was announced on Wednesday, May 7, according to the press service of the regional government.
There are 194 protected areas in the republic with a total area of 96.6 thousand hectares. There are 82 ecological sightseeing routes along them, including hiking, cycling, water, horseback riding and automobile. 18 recreation areas are equipped, 63 more are located in the forests.
For example, a tourist route was laid on Mount Bolgatura, writes IA SevastopolMedia. It includes stairs and wooden benches. The final point is an observation deck with views of Gurzuf, Adalary and Bear Mountain.
Another route is "Mount Koshka" with a length of 0.32 km. There is an entrance staircase, observation decks, and metal railings and fences in difficult places.
Earlier it was reported that 187 tourist routes are available in Crimea for travelers by car. From 2015 to 2024, 34 tourist navigation signs were installed on the peninsula, 720 of them are located in municipalities, and 31 on the federal highway "Tavrida".
