Over the past week, 3,904 cases of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza were registered in the Murmansk region. This is more than 32% lower than the level of the previous week. This is reported by the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor.

IA Bi-port, citing the sanitary authorities, writes that the results of virological monitoring indicate that influenza viruses continue to circulate. However, among the identified SARS pathogens, the proportion of influenza decreased from 76.4% to 67%. The structure of the isolated influenza viruses contains the most influenza B viruses.
In addition, four cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the region over the past week. The disease rate was 0.6 per 100,000 population. It hasn't changed since last week.
Earlier, on May 6, it was reported that over the past week, the incidence of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) decreased in Transbaikalia by 47%. 1,663 people turned to doctors. The incidence rate is 16.9 per 10,000 people. The flu was detected in 24.9% of the cases.
