President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh arrived in Moscow to take part in the celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). Footage of his arrival on May 7 is published by Izvestia.

At the airport, the Mongolian leader was met by a Russian delegation, and an honor guard was lined up at the ramp.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is expected to hold a bilateral meeting with him in the Kremlin on the same day. The heads of state should discuss the main directions for the long-term development of bilateral relations in many areas.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro also arrived in Moscow on May 7 to participate in Victory Day celebrations. He was met at the airport by a Russian delegation. They had a little conversation and shook hands.

Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov noted on May 6 that 29 leaders from invited countries were expected to attend the parade in Moscow on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The country's main Victory anniversary parade will traditionally take place on Red Square in Moscow. As Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted on April 30, the high-level representation of many countries at the Victory Day Parade in Moscow indicates that they share the importance of the May 9 holiday. In his opinion, Russia has not just allies, but states that are close in spirit and ideology.
