The repair of the Pyatigorsk — Georgievsk road has begun in the Stavropol Territory. The coating will be updated on a 5 km long segment, the press service of the regional municipality reported on Wednesday, May 7.

Now the highway is in an abnormal condition — the asphalt is cracked, there are drawdowns. The contractor will not only have to replace the asphalt, but also strengthen the roadsides and apply new markings.

The passage along the highway will be closed for the period of work, writes IA StavropolMedia. The facility is planned to be commissioned in the autumn of the current 2025.

The highway is important for Stavropol. It connects the cities of the Caucasian Mineral Waters and smaller settlements.
