A significant number of young talents play in Russian children's hockey teams. This was announced on May 7 by commentator Alexander Kuzmak, commenting on the World Selects Invitational tournament in Italy.

According to him, the achievements of Russian young hockey players indicate that hockey in the country not only retains its position, but also actively develops new personnel.

"The most important thing, probably, is that our hockey, firstly, showed that it is not just alive, but that there is a huge amount of young talent in it. And this tournament really opens up talents," he said.

The commentator also emphasized the importance of preserving these talents until adulthood. According to him, statistics show that as the age of participants increases, the number of Russian athletes at tournaments decreases. This highlights the need for further work with young hockey players so that they can successfully transition into adult sports.

In addition, Kuzmak added that the success of the Russian teams in Italy is a confirmation of the high-quality work of children's hockey schools and the professionalism of the coaches.

Golden Ring HC player Arseniy Kondratenko shared his impressions after the tournament, saying that his team defeated four clubs in the World Selects Invitational finals. The athlete noted that thanks to these competitions he gained valuable experience, made friends with many guys and learned about hockey playing styles in other countries.

On the same day, it became known that young Russian hockey players took all three first places at the World Selects Invitational tournament for children under 13 in Italy. The athletes met with rivals from North America, Sweden, Finland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Latvia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
