Sculpture of St. George the Victorious opened in Achinsk

The sculpture of St. George the Victorious was unveiled in the new historical and cultural park in Achinsk (Krasnoyarsk Territory). This was announced by the head of the city Igor Titenkov.

"Let this park become a place where everyone can stop, reflect and remember those who fought for our Motherland," the mayor wrote on his social networks.

The sculptural composition was created by Alexander Tkachuk and Andrey Kiyanitsyn, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency. It symbolizes the strength of the spirit and the willingness of warriors to protect what is dear.

The monument was erected thanks to the joint efforts of veterans, members of the SVO, honorary citizens, businessmen, activists, the media and caring citizens.

Earlier it was reported that a highway bypassing Achinsk will be built in the Krasnoyarsk Territory by 2030. Now a huge stream of freight traffic is moving along the road through the city.
