May 9, 2025 parade in Moscow: live broadcast

On Friday, May 9, a solemn parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War will begin on Red Square in Moscow. Only invited guests will see the anniversary procession with their own eyes. Others will be able to join the celebration online. Izvestia reports on when and where to watch the Victory Day Parade in 2025.
Military equipment will arrive for construction on Red Square early in the morning. Traditionally, the column starts from Nizhni Mnevniki and follows Zvenigorodskoye highway through Barricadnaya, Triumfalnaya Square and Tverskaya to the final stop.
The parade will begin at exactly 10:00 Moscow time. At this time, the Victory Banner and the national flag of Russia will be brought to the square. The parade will be hosted by Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. Then there will be a march of military equipment and foot crews. Finally, planes and helicopters will fly over the Kremlin, painting the sky in the colors of the Russian flag.
As in previous years, the event will last two hours and end at noon. Everything that happens will be broadcast live on Channel One, Rossiya 1, Zvezda, REN TV and many Internet portals.
Viewers will have the opportunity to see the most striking images from different angles thanks to quadrocopters and cameras mounted on tanks and helicopters. For example, it will be possible to examine the details of military equipment and uniforms, which are inaccessible to those present in the stands.
The parade will also be shown live on the Izvestia website. In addition, in Moscow, St. Petersburg and a number of other cities, the broadcast will be carried out on media facades and large street screens of the IAP. This is the second joint project of Izvestia and the media holding, which allows you to create the effect of full immersion in the event.
Millions of people will not only see, but also read important information about the parade in the text captions. Some of the thematic materials dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War have been available to residents of large cities since February.
Muscovites and guests of the capital will still be able to watch the parade on metro media screens. According to the official website of the mayor of Moscow, the Victory Day Parade will be broadcast on the screens of the stage platforms on Poklonnaya Gora, as well as in every district of the capital. In addition, the audience will be shown footage of the historic 1945 parade.
Earlier, Izvestia reported that 29 foreign leaders would arrive in Moscow for the Victory Day Parade.
