In the year of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Victory anniversary parade will be held in Moscow. It promises to be especially solemn. The event will be attended by the country's top officials and representatives of about 30 foreign countries. Izvestia tells us when the parade on Red Square will begin and where to watch it live.

The Victory Day Parade starts at 10:00 Moscow time and will last two hours. A live broadcast from Red Square is scheduled for the same time. Many federal TV channels (Channel One, Rossiya 1, Zvezda), as well as various online platforms will broadcast live.

The parade will be shown live on the Izvestia website. In addition, together with the MAER media holding, it will be viewed on large street screens and media facades in Moscow, the Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Samara, Tyumen, Chelyabinsk and other cities.

Viewers will see not only the parade itself on Red Square, but also captions with key information that will be broadcast on all digital surfaces. The total number of viewers of the live broadcast on May 9 is expected to reach about 6 million people.

Muscovites will also be able to watch the parade on the Moscow metro trains, according to the official website of the Mayor of Moscow. It clarifies that in addition to the solemn procession in the city center, thematic videos and footage of the historic parade on Red Square in 1945 will be shown on the screens.

According to a survey conducted on the eve of May 9, at least 65% of Russians plan to watch the broadcast of the parade in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory. Residents of the capital are showing special interest in the event. Four out of 10 Muscovites are already watching the holiday rehearsals on the streets of the city, according to the results of the SuperJob study.

As in previous years, the event will begin with the removal of the Russian flag and the Victory banner. Then Russian President Vladimir Putin will address the guests. At the end of the welcoming speech, a minute of silence will be announced in memory of the victims.
