All city parking in Krasnodar will be free on May 9th

All municipal parking in Krasnodar will be free on Victory Day. On Friday, May 9, payment will not be charged from 08:00 to 20:00, said the mayor Evgeny Naumov in his social networks.

"We made this decision for the first time, precisely on the eve of the anniversary of the Great Victory," the mayor wrote, quoted by KrasnodarMedia news agency.

11.6 thousand parking spaces will become free. Citizens and guests of the metropolis will be able to freely drive up to the memorials, lay flowers and take part in festive events.

Earlier, Izvestia told how Russia celebrated the anniversaries of the Great Victory and what changed in the celebrations from 1945 to 2015. For the first 20 years after the end of the Great Patriotic War, there were almost no parades.
