Fencers of the Russian Federation were allowed to participate in team competitions in a neutral status

The International Fencing Federation (FIE) has allowed Russian athletes to participate in team competitions at the championships in a neutral status. This was announced on May 7 by the press service of the organization.

It is specified that Russian fencers will be allowed to compete only under the FIE flag.

The first competition with their participation will be the European Championship in Genoa from June 14 to 19. After that, the athletes will take part in the World Championships, which will be held from July 22 to 30 in Tbilisi, TASS writes.
