Chita Airport to purchase new screening equipment

Chita Airport continues to implement an investment program to upgrade its technical fleet and purchase special equipment. This is necessary to ensure transport security, said Denis Kaminsky, the head of the air harbor.
"We are purchasing new inspection equipment to ensure transport security, including modern metal detectors and X—ray imaging introscopes," Kaminsky said, quoted by ChitaMedia news agency.
According to him, in the current 2025, the airport will also purchase snowplows in order to quickly clear runways and treat them with deicing reagents.
Earlier it was reported that the air harbor in Chita is awaiting a large-scale reconstruction. There are plans to reconstruct the Kadala airport complex and build a new terminal building. The total investment will amount to 2.8 billion rubles.
